With 1.6 million inhabitants, Montreal is the largest city in the province of Quebec. Vieux Montréal (Old Montreal), with its buildings from the 17th century, the Jacques Cartier Square and magnificent basilica has a European flavour. The Mont Royal plateau is a very popular neighbourhood with trendy shops and bars.

You can also walk in the port, haunted by old industrial ghosts from the past.

Montreal also has many green areas: Jean Drapeau Park, Mont Royal Park at the foot of the hill bearing the same name, Lafontaine Park, Maisonneuve Park, etc.

Montreal: a festival-filled summer

There are numerous theatres along the avenue Saint Denis: Théâtre Saint Denis, Théâtre du Rideau Vert, Théâtre du Nouveau Monde, etc.
